Tell Your Clients

Fortunately for us we live in a part of world where business generally grinds to a halt over the Christmas/New Year period so there is an expectation that people take time off however we cannot always assume. That client who decides on 22nd December that they have a super important job for you to complete before the beginning of January could turn your holiday plans upside down.

If you have not already done so, now is a good time to reach out to your clients to let them know your availability throughout the festive season and January.

You can do this with a phone call or personal email. Ask the question

“Is there anything that I can help you with before I go?”.

By asking a considerate question like this you are opening up opportunities for more work and keeping yourself at the top of your clients’ mind.

While you are at it, this is a good time to make a date to reconnect in the new year.

It is also an idea to include your holiday dates as part of your email footer for the next couple of weeks. This is another way of letting everyone that you come into contact with know your movements without sending a mass email to everyone in your Contacts list.
